The Pathway Initiative (Bateman) Class IV, III, II, I

The Pathway Initiative supports students who wish to pursue a medical career through hands-on experience and mentorship. There are 2 programs.

1. High School Medical Academy: a spring after-school program Deadline: March 10 Duration: March 25 for 10 weeks, Monday through Thursday, 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm Application: forms.gle/Si4FcfAMmWreLFxz7 Stipend: $15 per hour for 10 hours per week Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible for the high school medical academy, students must: Be currently enrolled in 10th or 11th grade at a local high school. Be immigrant students living in the City of Boston. Exhibit a demonstrated interest in STEM and health sciences. Have a desire to pursue higher education and/or careers in STEM and health sciences fields.

2. Summer Internship Program Deadline: March 10 Duration: June 17 – August 30, 2024 Application form: forms.gle/GgK8XuZzAe4Ph3do8 Open to High School students ages 15-18 years Stipend: $15/hr, up to 25 hrs/week Fields: Medicine, Health Sciences, STEM Eligibility Criteria: Boston residents and a limited number of non-Boston residents, focus on underrepresented and socio-economically disadvantaged students, eligibility to work in the USA required
