On Monday, May 4 and Tuesday May 5th, a team from NEASC will be visiting BLS to meet with students, staff and families. During this time, visitors will be visiting classrooms and observing teaching and learning.

2026 BLS Sports Banquet – Thursday June 4
The annual BLS Sports Banquet will be held on Thursday June 4 in the Jean Yawkey Center on the campus of Emmanuel College. Doors will open at 5pm, the program will begin promptly at 6pm. All Varsity athletes and families are invited to the event and strongly encouraged to attend to received accolades, recognition, and varsity letters. The event is business casual, no jeans, t-shirts, or shorts.
Tickets are $40. No tickets will be sold at the door. Please follow the link to purchase.
Please consider featuring your student club or affinity group in the Class of 2026 Yearbook! Clubs and groups may pay $60 via cash (strongly preferred) or check (made out to Boston Latin School: Yearbook) — upon payment to Mx. Amico in room 237, you may send Mx. Amico (damico@bostonpublicschools.org) a high-quality photo of your group! It is preferred that current seniors are front and center in the photo, if possible! Please speak with your club or group advisor if you are interested!
The deadline is Friday, May 1st. However, due to slow submissions, I will be extending the deadline until May 15th.
The Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health Biostatistics Department is excited to host StatStart this year. StatStart is a month-long summer program intended to enhance opportunities for high school students interested in data science and computing. The program is designed for students who are first generation or come from a low socioeconomic background, but all are welcome to apply. Students participating in the program will take courses that cover introduction to statistics, data science, and computing.
We will host the program from July 6th to July 31st, Monday to Thursday from 10 AM – 3 PM EST. The only requirement to apply is a solid grasp of freshmen level algebra. The application for StatStart is now live and due on Friday, May 15, 2026.

Attention Class of 2027! It’s time to elect the leaders who will guide you through your senior year! If you’re interested in running for a senior class officer position (president, vice president, treasurer, or secretary), please review the important dates below carefully:
Monday, 5/4: Information Meeting — Come learn about the election process and officer responsibilities! This meeting will be brief and is mandatory. It will be after school in the Schawbel Center. Please see Ms. Sarkis with any concerns.
Wednesday, 5/20: Primary Voting Wednesday
Wednesday, 5/27: Finalist Speeches — Finalists will deliver speeches in the Auditorium during W-block.
Friday, 6/5: Final Elections

Please support BLS Crew’s biggest fundraiser being held on Saturday, May 2 (9AM-3PM) at Copley Square in the Back Bay. Join your fellow BLS students for a fun day, learn about crew, and help us continue to make rowing a more equitable sport. Funds raised support rower financial aid, boat and equipment investments, and gear maintenance.

We are seeking designs for the front and/or back cover for the new 2026-2027 Agenda Book (handbook) and would love your ideas. Entries can be in full color and should be created for a 5.5” by 8.5” book with a CMYK. Specifications can be found below.
