Library Printing Update (Ellis/Safran) All Classes

Now that we have had a few months to analyze student color printing in the library, we are revising our guidelines. Students have largely (95% of the time!) been printing assignments only. Our new process is working well. However, the costs have been higher than anticipated.

Our revised guidelines:

🖨️ Each print job will be limited to 3 pages. Most assignments that have been printed fit within this range.

🖨️ Remember: the color printer is for class assignments only.

🖨️ If you need to print flyers for events or clubs, create the flyer in black ink and you can make multiple copies on bright paper using the library copier. Ask your advisor for help if you need to print these in color.

🖨️ Best practices: Run a test! Print in black and white first to make sure your document is formatted correctly and prints the way you want it to.

Follow all posted instructions that walk you through the printing process, especially when printing from Canva!

Ask a Library Praefect for help if you need assistance!
