Troubleshooting Chromebook Power Issues (Hourigan) All Classes

If your Chromebook is having trouble charging or turning on, plug it into power, hold the REFRESH key (top row, fourth from the left, looks like a circular arrow), and tap the POWER button. This performs a power reset and in most cases has helped “dead” Chromebooks come back to life.

If you’re experiencing any Chromebook issues, please come see us in the tech area of the library.

Lunch Rotation Changes on Monday, November 28 (Lewis-da Ponte)

Please note that the lunch schedule will rotate on the day we return from Thanksgiving break. Effective November 28 through March 3, the schedule will be:

First Lunch: Classics, Math, Arts, and Music

Second Lunch: English, Humanities, Modern Languages

Third Lunch: History, Science

As the weather will greatly restrict the days we can have lunch out of doors, there will be larger crowds in the Dining Hall. We want to remind young people of the importance of clearing tables completely at the conclusion of lunch and thank faculty for their understanding when long lines have sometimes caused students to be delayed when returning to class.

Calling all overdue or “lost” Keefe Library books! (Ellis & Harari)

Many staff and students borrowed books last spring that are now overdue. The Boston Public Library assumes that long overdue items are lost forever and posts a “replacement cost” on your account. Never fear! Returning the book will clear these charges. Also, the Keefe Library does NOT charge overdue fines — we just want the books back. Juniors using Keefe books for the JRP should return items listed as overdue or lost and then check them out again. You can also return books from other BPL branches. Help us bring all our books home!
