BLS has been asked to select one student ambassador to attend the Massachusetts Hugh O’Brien Youth Leadership Seminar. BLS will pay for the cost of attendance for our selected ambassador. The MA HOBY seminar provides an opportunity for sophomores in high school to develop leadership skills through a dynamic leadership program with keynote speakers and service-driven activities. The 2024 MA HOBY Seminar will be held on Friday, June 7th, through Sunday, June 9th, 2023 at Bentley University in Waltham, MA. Any 10th grader who is interested should email Ms. Encarnacao at aencarnacao@bostonpublicschools.org by Friday, January 12th, 2024 by 8:00 pm. In your email please include a 200-word description of why you would like to represent BLS at the seminar and what you hope to gain from the experience.
