Class of 2024 Seal of Biliteracy testing and sign up! (Kelley)

Are you a bilingual and/or student studying a world language who wants to obtain a Seal of Biliteracy? The Seal of Biliteracy is an award given by a school district and state in recognition of students who have studied and attained proficiency in two or more languages by high school graduation. BPS invites all graduating seniors to sign up for an assessment (STAMP Assessment, WorldSpeak Assessment or portfolio) to determine your qualification. Sign up with the Google form by the end of the day Wednesday, October 4 and take either the STAMP Assessment, WorldSpeak Assessment or get more information around being assessed with portfolio for languages not included in the testing. Once you sign up, more information will be sent out explaining the assessments. The STAMP test will measure your ability to read, speak, write and understand the language. If you have a 4 or 5 on an AP Language Exam (Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Latin, Spanish), you have already qualified and do not need to take an additional assessment in that language. If you have any questions, please contact Modern Languages Program Director Mrs. Kelley at ckelley2@bostonpublicschools.org. Testing will take place during the school day on October 16 OR October 17 from R1 to R4 depending on how long you need to complete the test. More details will be sent out once you sign up.
