BLS BLACK (Black Leaders Aspiring for Change and Knowledge) would like to thank everyone that participated in the 2022 Black History Month Modified Door Decorating Contest using the theme “Black is Beautiful: Make Black Inescapable”. After careful deliberation, the winners are as follows…1st Place – Ms. Sarkis (Room 208) and her students Laila Hollins and Louisa Crenshaw; 2nd Place – Mrs. Burke (Room 215) and ALL of her English 12 students; 3rd Place – Mrs. Encarnacao-Martin (Room 108) and her students Savannah Martin and Francesca Martin. Ms. Sarkis and her winning team will receive a catered soul food lunch courtesy of Soleil Restaurant in Roxbury, a certificate to display, and bragging rights until next year’s contest. Congratulations to all the winners and to the BLS community for coming together to celebrate Black History Month!
