Dana-Farber Junior Volunteer Summer Program (Luu) Class III, II. I

The Dana-Farber Junior Volunteer Summer Program is looking for high school students ages 16 to 18. This summer, the program will run from Monday, July 8th to Friday, August 16th. Students who are interested in health, wellness, or medicine are welcome to apply!

Junior Volunteers will learn multiple volunteer responsibilities that allow them to engage directly with patients and families at Dana-Farber. They will guide and accompany patients to their appointments, deliver lunches and art supplies to patients receiving chemotherapy, and attend a weekly session where they meet with Dana-Farber staff to learn about careers in healthcare. Junior volunteers must be willing to commit to one consistent six-hour shift (8 am-2 pm) for the full six weeks and be able to attend a weekly hour-long Zoom meeting on Wednesdays at 2 pm. They seek to accept a diverse group of highly motivated students from many backgrounds. Applications will be due by April 1, 2024.
