The Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health Biostatistics Department is excited to host StatStart this summer. StatStart is a month-long summer program intended for high school students from underrepresented backgrounds. Students participating in the program will receive an introduction to statistics, data science, and computing. Additionally, students will have the opportunity to analyze real-world data by working on group projects led by a graduate student mentor. We will explore how quantitative skills can be used to solve public health issues!
The program runs from July 5th to July 27th, Monday to Thursday from 10 AM – 2 PM EST, at the Harvard campus. Classes will be taught by Harvard Biostats Ph.D. students and will provide mentorship and college preparatory skills. The program will conclude with student presentations on Friday, July 28th.
The application for StatStart is now live and due on Friday, June 2, 2023. Please note there is no fee associated with this program.
