The application for Girls in Science 2022 is now open! This fully-funded fellowship provides young women with the opportunity to expand their interest in science and technology and to build confidence through hands-on environmental research.
This year, the fellowship will have two field sites. Fellows will either work alongside teams of predominantly female researchers at the Schoodic Institute to observe and collect data on forests, intertidal organisms and birds on the expedition Climate Change: Sea to Trees at Acadia National Park or they’ll study the ecology and behavior of dolphins on the expedition Marine Mammal Bioacoustics and Conservation at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, in partnership with Woods Hole Sea Grant.
Who: Current sophomores and juniors from Massachusetts high schools.
When: Three sessions will be offered: June 26–July 2, August 7–13, and August 14–20
