The Irish Cultural Centre of New England located in Canton, MA has just introduced a new 4-week program designed specifically for High School Students. Two courses are offered: “An introduction to Irish History – Irish Famine of 1845” and “Irish Art – Jack Butler Yeats and Independent Ireland” is a unique and impactful 4-week virtual program on Tuesday evenings starting on March 22nd.

Lectures will be delivered by Dr. Christine Kinealy – the founding director of Ireland’s Great Hunger Museum at Quinnipiac University in Connecticut and Dr. Brian Kennedy of UCD – a widely published author, a thought leader on visual literacy, and an art museum leader in Ireland, Australia & the U.S.A. All participants will receive a Letter of Achievement from the ICC and from the Consul General of Ireland, Boston. ICC scholarships of $750 each will also be awarded to two participants who complete an optional project at the end of the program.
