Smith College Poetry Prize for High School Girls (Moran) Class III, II

Smith College has announced its annual Poetry Contest for High School Girls in grades 10 and 11. This year’s judge is Tunisian-American poet Leila Chatti, author of Deluge and winner of the Levis Reading Prize. The winning poet will receive a $500 cash prize, and she and the three finalists will receive a signed copy of a book of poems by the judge. If conditions allow, winners will also be invited to spend the day at Smith College, meeting as a small group with Leila Chiatti and presenting their winning work at Chatti’s evening reading. The deadline for the submission of one poem, maximum of 25 lines, is December 1, 2021. For guidelines and entry form, go to: www.smith.edu/adademics/poetry-center/poetry-prize. Questions?
