To celebrate Coming Out Day, the GSA will be holding a school-wide “Day of Visibility” on Wednesday, October 13th. We want to show that queer students are everywhere, in every hallway, classroom, and lunch table, at any given moment, whether recognized or not. To participate, students can come to the Dining Hall before 7:45 that day and grab either a lavender or rainbow mask. We invite BLS’s LGBTQ+ students, who are able and comfortable, to grab a rainbow mask to directly participate in our show of visibility. For students of any identity who would prefer to simply show their support, we will have lavender masks to express allyship.
Members of the community who wear a Day of Visibility mask are invited to participate in a W-Block group dialogue about the challenges and joys of coming out. Please fill out the link to get a pass for this event: bit.ly/BLSNCOD
