Northeastern University NEPTUN-Bateman

NEPTUN (Northeastern Program for Teaching by Undergraduates) hosts two events every year in which Northeastern undergraduates teach free classes to high school students. There are a huge variety of classes being taught on all kinds of subjects, and you sign up for those which interest you. Past courses have included “Beyond the Stick Figure: A Practical Drawing Class for the Artistically Challenged”, “Fermi Calculations: Using Estimation to Solve Ridiculous Problems”, or “Infectious Diseases — The Coming Plague.” In light of the ongoing pandemic and virtual learning, this semester (Fall 2020) is being hosted virtually and in coordination with other colleges around the country, as the RAINSTORM event, taking place Sat/Sun December 5th & 6th (12-6pm EST).
For high school students interested in attending, registration opens November 2nd.
