Though they go through years of math in school, many teens graduate without a solid sense of what it means to manage their money. Fortune Avenue, a teen-led and teen-run nonprofit organization based in Boston, formed an initiative to address some of these underdeveloped life skills.
In this series of four workshops, teens will learn a host of in-depth skills in money management–from earning to saving, loans, credit, and investment–all under the lens of becoming self-made entrepreneurs. Through a series of hands-on activities and active mentorship from experienced Fortune Avenue teen staff, teens will emerge more ready to hurdle the financial pitfalls that plague so many young adults. Lunch will be served on each session day as well, to make sure there’s adequate brain fuel to process all this new, exciting information.
