Mental Health Awareness Month: May marks the start of Mental Health Awareness Month. Since its observation in the United States in 1949, its purpose has been to increase awareness of mental health and its importance in playing a role in our overall well-being. According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), “this national movement is dedicated to eradicating stigma, extending support, fostering public education, and advocating for policies that prioritize the well-being of individuals and families affected by mental illness”. Below are links to toolkits that provide vital information and resources for spreading mental health awareness.
