BLS BLACK and TAG Celebratory (Pinchem, Metayer, Jacobson-Peregrino) All Classes-New

Greetings students, You are cordially invited to the 11th Annual BLS BLACK and TAG Celebratory on Sunday, June 7, from 3:00 – 5:00 PM. This celebration is a time-honored tradition at BLS that dates back to the 1970s. The first celebration of this kind was held at St. Cyprian’s Church in Roxbury. From there, it moved to Simmons College and then to the historic Harriet Tubman House. This year, it will take place in the Fiction Room of the BLS Library.

This event is sponsored by BLS B.L.A.C.K. (Black Leaders Aspiring for Change and Knowledge) and BLS T.A.G (Talented and Gifted Latino) and is open to everyone. During this event, members of the BLS family, including faculty, staff, alumni, and current students, will recognize and celebrate the collective achievements of members of the Class of 2026 who identify as Black and/or Latinx. You do not have to identify as a member of one or both of these groups to attend the celebratory. All are welcome!

The program will include amazing guest speakers, great music, inspiring words of wisdom, and light refreshments. During the celebration, the graduating seniors will also receive their kente and/or serape stoles to wear on graduation day!
