Students, are you having a tough time keeping your school materials organized, turning in work on time, and effectively preparing for tests? Then our small group executive functioning workshop series is for you. The program runs for 5-weeks every Monday and it is customized for each individual student enrolled in the program. Below are some examples of the topics covered in this group:
1. Organization
2. Study skills
3. Homework routines
4. Time management
5. Note taking
At our workshops, the instructors will teach you about the different executive functioning skills and then give you time to practice concrete strategies with your real school materials. Not to mention, these workshops are a lot of fun! We know that this virtual learning space can be tough however, we are willing to help make these times a little bit more organized and a lot less stressful.

Virtual Schedule Reminders (Skerritt)
Students are reminded that our current virtual schedule is built around Day 1 of the traditional BLS schedule displayed on SIS.
Mondays serve as our “anchor day,” when all seven periods meet. On Tuesdays-Fridays, students’ core academic classes are stretched over two days. The Day 1 schedule should be used to fill in core classes on every day of the week.
Students can then find their “specials,” including music, art, and theater, physical education and health on the supplemental schedule. The specials run on a two week cycle, so make sure you make note of your section meeting times during both weeks. Your specials should fit into blank spaces on your schedule if you used Day 1 for your core classes. For a refresher on how to create your schedule, please see the video developed by Hailey Harold, Class I: Translating the BLS Schedule: A Tutorial.
No Test Day – Monday, September 28 (Skerritt)
In recognition of Yom Kippur, there will be no in-class tests or quizzes on Monday, September 28. Yom Kippur, or the Day of Atonement, is considered the holiest day of the year by those of the Jewish faith. Students who observe the holiday will be marked constructively present and allowed full makeup privileges.
