BLS Topol Fellows Host Info-Session about ICE and Related Topics on Thursday 1/29 at 2:30 in 307 (Bowles) All Classes

Recently, ICE has been deployed in crackdown operations (most notably Minneapolis) and has increased their presence nationwide (including in Maine). These crackdowns have been extremely controversial because of issues including immigrant family separation, federal action vs. state and local policies, the violation of the rights of protesters and aggressive tactics of federal agents (including the killing of two protestors).

The BLS Topol Fellows will be presenting about the crackdown and the upcoming U.S. Senate votes which will impact the future of ICE. All are welcome and we hope you will join us if you’re interested in learning about what you can do to impact this legislation and help those affected.

We will have snacks to help everyone get through their last day of exams!
