Ladies Collective has a period products drive! (Brogan-Healy) All Classes-New

We’ve been putting boxes of pads and tampons in bathrooms because no one should have to worry about finding a pad or tampon at school and period products are expensive. Unfortunately, we do not have an infinite supply of pads and tampons so we’re enlisting your help! We especially need tampons. If you’d like to donate a package of period products for our school bathrooms or a pair of pants, please drop them off in the box labeled “Period Products Drive” in front of the main office. You can post a photo of yourself dropping the period products on Innerview under the opportunity “Period Products Drive” for 1 community service hour.

Thanks for your help!

Glückwunsch Levi Ahmed! (Congratulations Levi Ahmed!) (Floerke) All Classes-New

Levi Ahmed was selected as a national winner after scoring in the 90th percentile on the Level 2025 National German Exam for High School Students sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of German (AATG). Over 12,000 students participated in the program. After qualifying with a high score on the National German Exam, Levi submitted responses to several short essay questions in German and English and was then interviewed by a committee comprised of high school teachers and college professors of German.

Following this, Levi also completed the STAMP (Seal of Biliteracy) test. Levi is one of 37 outstanding German students selected from across the US to receive the award. The study trip includes round‐trip air transportation to Germany from a US airport, a homestay in a host family, and excursions to places of cultural and historical significance. The study trip, now in its 64th year, is made possible through a grant from the Federal Republic of Germany.

“The prize is a great reward for excellence in learning German—and the best way to better get to know a fascinating language and culture through firsthand experiences living with a German family and attending school.”

SEL Tip of the Week – Embracing Change and Practicing Patience (Wang) All Classes-Updated

As we move through spring, it’s the perfect time to reflect on how we handle change. Like the seasons shift, our lives are constantly changing, and learning to embrace these changes can help us grow stronger and more adaptable. Think about something you’d like to improve or change this spring—a skill, a habit, or a mindset.

Practice Patience with Yourself: Change can take time. Be kind to yourself as you navigate new situations, and remember that growth happens at your own pace. Sometimes, we expect instant results, but growth takes time.

🌧️ Be Gentle with Yourself on Bad Days: Some days won’t go as planned. Maybe you don’t achieve what you hoped for, or maybe you just don’t feel like doing the work. Instead of being hard on yourself, remind yourself that it’s okay to have bad days.

💖 Practice Self-Compassion: Treat yourself the same way you would treat a friend going through a tough time. If a friend was struggling with something, you would likely offer encouragement and remind them that they don’t have to be perfect. Do the same for yourself.

🎉 Celebrate Small Wins: Each time you make progress, no matter how small, take a moment to acknowledge and celebrate it. These small wins are proof of your hard work and dedication. Celebrating them helps you stay motivated and reminds you that patience pays off. The more you celebrate the process, the less impatient you’ll feel about reaching the final goal.
