Celebrate the Freedom to Read – Banned Books Week 2023 (Ellis/Harari) All Classes

Students and staff are encouraged to visit the Keefe Library and join us in celebrating Americans’ freedom to read. When books are challenged or banned, our teens lose access to people, places, and perspectives. But when we stand all up for stories, we unleash the power that lies inside every book. Displays created by the Topol Fellows and library volunteers and staff show how book challenges are rising across the country, from 220 challenges in 2020 to over 2,500 in 2022, according to the American Library Association.
