Our annual Black History Month Door Decorating Contest RETURNS!! This year at BLS, our theme for BHM is titled “Black Jubilation!” highlighting black excellence, black talents, and most importantly, BLACK JOY. Jubilation is a word meaning “a feeling of great happiness and triumph.” We would like to see doors that embody the theme for this month. This year, teachers are permitted to choose a group of 2-4 students to enhance their doors! The contest will start on Wednesday, February 08, and will end on Tuesday, February 28. We encourage teams to put their door decorations up as soon as possible in order to give our school community time to enjoy the beautiful doors. Winners will be announced on the last day of Black History Month! Thank you, and good luck to everyone participating!!
