Hello everyone!!

Sofia Daffin is a senior here at Boston Latin School. She is currently a member of the BLS Senior Capstone class, and her intended final project is to create a documentary focused on black hair discrimination within public school systems and the impact that hair racism and eurocentric beauty standards can have on African American youth. As part of her research, she is looking for black students currently attending Boston Latin who would be willing to participate in a filmed interview and/or answer some questions about their relationship to their hair. The goal of this is simply to foster an open conversation about students’ personal hair experiences and learn more about their evolving perception of hair throughout their lives.

The link to the survey is listed below. It should take no longer than 5 minutes, and it’s completely anonymous, so please answer each question as honestly as possible.
