The University Club of Boston’s Future Leaders of Boston Scholarship Fund was founded in 1977. Since its inception, the Scholarship Fund has awarded qualifying Boston residents who are graduating seniors scholarships to be used over four years of college. To date, well over 100 Future Leaders of Boston scholarships have been granted. These scholarships are made possible through the generosity of the University Club’s membership. The mission of the Scholarship Program is to provide financial assistance, through need-based scholarships, to Boston residents to help cover the gap funding in their college tuition each semester. Recipients of the scholarships will have distinguished themselves academically, through service to their community, and will also have demonstrated their potential to be a leader.

APPLICATION DEADLINE: All applications are due by 5 pm Monday, March 28, 2022.

Selection Criteria for Recipients:

When selecting the recipients for the Future Leaders of Boston Scholarship, the Scholarship Committee considers the following (in no particular order): Academic Achievement, Community Service, Extracurricular Activities, Financial Need and Leadership. Students should highlight their accomplishments in these areas when applying, as should the authors of the recommendation letters that are being submitted with the application.

Qualifying applicants need to demonstrate one of the following:

• An EFC (Expected Family Contribution) from the FAFSA Student Aid Report that is $10,000 or less

• A low to moderate parent Adjusted Gross Income (AGI)

• Extenuating financial circumstances
