Interactive presentation and discussion on the state of American democracy, sponsored by the Topol Fellows (Freeman) All Classes

On Thursday, March 24th, the Topol Fellows will be holding an interactive presentation and discussion on the state of American democracy, and we invite all BLS students to join! While the turbulence of the 2020 election is now over a year past, the threats to democracy associated with the lies, disinformation, January 6th attack, and anti-democratic governance of that time persist, and are even growing. We want to take a moment to inform students on how exactly we got here, engage them on their own reactions to the state of affairs, and take a deeper dive into how things have begun to deteriorate beyond the shocks of 1/6–including two of the greatest dangers: new restrictions on voting, and a growing segment of the population that does not believe in the legitimacy of their president or elections. Join us in the Electronic Classroom from 2:30-3:30 3/24 for this and more! And, feel free to email topolfellowsbls@gmail.com with any questions.
