Calling all BLS poets and declaimers: Carry on BLS’s proud tradition of high achievement in the 2022 Poetry Out Loud competition for students in Classes I-IV. This year’s school-level contest will take place on January 27 at 2:30 pm. We are hoping to hold an in-person event in a location TBA; if this is not possible, we will host a Zoom event. Our school winner will advance to the regional semi-finals, sponsored by the Huntington Theater, with the state champion moving on to the national competition in the spring, sponsored by the National Endowment for the Arts. All events will be held remotely, with significant prizes awarded at the state and national levels. Registration forms are available outside the English office, room 519. Questions?
