MassJCL Classics Day on Sat. 10/24/20-Moguel

“Why am I learning Latin?” “How will studying the Classics help me in the future?” These questions will be answered at the Massachusetts Junior Classical League Classics Day event on Saturday, October 24th, 2020! The all-day, virtual event will include presentations from New York Times Bestselling Author of “The Song of Achilles” and “Circe” Madeline Miller, Nobel Prize Physicist Sir Anthony Leggett, Member of UK Parliament/Neuroscientist Baroness Susan Greenfield, and former NJCL President/current Boston City Councilor and Mayoral candidate Michelle Wu, all of whom will attest to the ways that studying the Classics led them to become leaders in their fields. Additionally, there will be Zoom games, trivia games (street certamen and Kahoot!), and socials. You do not need to be a member of JCL in order to attend, and you can come and go as you please. Sign up at bit.ly/registerclassicsday, find a schedule of the event at bit.ly/cdaysched, and talk to your Classics teacher for more information!
Registration ends on Thursday 10/15, so sign up now!
