Dear members of the Class of 2025 and families,
You are cordially invited to the 10th Annual BLS BLACK and TAG Celebratory on Sunday, June 8 from 3:00 – 5:00 PM. This celebration is a time honored tradition at BLS that dates back to the 1970s. The first BLS celebration of this kind was held at St. Cyprian’s Church in Roxbury. From there it moved to Simmons College and then to the historic Harriet Tubman House. This year, it will take place in the Fiction Room of the BLS Library.
This event is hosted by BLS B.L.A.C.K. (Black Leaders Aspiring for Change and Knowledge) and BLS T.A.G (Talented and Gifted Latino) and is open to everyone. During this event, members of BLS family, including faculty, staff, alumni and current students, will recognize and celebrate the collective achievements of members of the Class of 2025 who identify as Black and/or Latinx. You do not have to identify as a member of one or both of these groups to attend the celebratory. All are welcome. The program will include amazing guest speakers, great music, inspiring words of wisdom, and light refreshments. During the celebration, the graduating seniors will also receive their kente and/or serape stoles to wear on graduation day!
If you would like to attend, complete this Google form by Friday, May 23 so that we can have an accurate headcount. Event details are below:
