INTERNSHIP DETAILS The LEAH Project is a STEM program for students typically underrepresented in STEM. There are two internships that include biology lab work at Biogen’s Community Lab and biology and data analysis lab work at MIT. Following the summer, youth also receive mentorship opportunities with STEM professionals and future summer internship placements. This is a stipended opportunity; students will earn approximately $2,250 for summer 2025. Learn more about the differences between the two internship tracks at the application link.
Eligibility: Must be 16 years old by July 8th, 2025, be able to travel to Kendall Square Area in Cambridge five days a week in the summer, be either (1) from a racial or ethnic group considered underrepresented in the sciences (2) AND/OR from an economically disadvantaged background Applications close March 30th. The program runs from July 7th – August 8th.
