Did you know that former Headmaster Francis Gardner (1851-1876: a portrait in the auditorium!) acquired plaster copies of the art from the Parthenon temple in Athens? Currently, they are in storage, but with YOUR help, one cast (out of nine) could be preserved and displayed in the school! Learn more here! We hope to raise $5000 to give one cast the time, love, and care it needs so that our entire school community can remember its story and inspire hope for a better future.
This fundraiser will be the first out of a series until we reach the goal! Purple poppy flowers (artificial therefore they will never die) will be sold for $5 (there are only 200 available!) during the week of November 4th. You can also wear a poppy in honor of veterans in your life. If you want to help in other ways or have questions, please email Ms. Foley at cfoley@bostonpublicschools.org or visit 237. Any donation is welcome, too! Venmo: @PhilanthroPoppy
